Polishing/sharpening wheels. Blank for reshaping.
Here are 2 (two) rough, blank MDF wheels for reshaping into the desired configuration. They have not been fine sanded or finished.
Yes, these wheels can be shaped with a fine rasp, sandpaper or other device.
With no honing compound provided on the wheels, as you would have to grind off the compound in the act of reshaping it.
Just mount the wheel on your grinder and reshape it there for a true fit.
Black or green honing compound can then be added for the final finish. Black for steel or harder metal, green for polishing.
Be careful in reshaping it, as MDF dust should not be inhaled. Use breathing protection.
Grinder speed should not exceed 3600 RPM as a much faster grinder can destroy the wheels and pose a threat to the operator.
